At the 2025 Colorado Roofers Association (CRA) Trade Show, one of the most compelling conversations wasn’t about shingles or nails, it was about software. Leap, a technology platform designed for contractors, made a strong showing, with sales manager Farith Odar, an eight-year veteran of the company, fielding a steady stream of questions from curious attendees.
“People are asking for help with websites, CRMs and systems,” Farith said in an interview on the show floor. “It’s a lot more about consulting than specific products.” That shift signals a growing awareness in the roofing world that operational efficiency and business growth now hinge on mastering the right tools.
“I’ve had a ton of questions about how our product compares to what they’re already using,” Farith said. “And I’ve gotten some customers, too. That’s always great to see.”
This year’s event drew a buzzing crowd that demonstrated the vitality of Colorado’s roofing sector. According to Farith, the local market is distinct. “You guys get weather,” he said with a laugh, referencing Colorado’s storm activity that keeps roofers in business. “There’s a lot of roofers, a lot of work.”
The industry’s fast-paced nature is reflected in the turnover. Farith shared, “Every time there’s a storm, I see new faces, new yard signs.” But far from seeing this as instability, he views it as an opportunity. He explained, “That’s not a bad thing. You’ve got a ton of work here.”
With packed aisles and enthusiastic engagement, the CRA show is proving to be fertile ground for tech-forward companies like Leap. For roofing contractors looking to level up, the conversation is clearly shifting from tools on the roof to tools that run the business.
