In 1999, the North East Roofing Educational Foundation was formed as a not-for-profit corporation. NEREF provides financial assistance for employees or immediate family, of our roofing contractors. These scholarships are for roofers seeking post-secondary education in college or vocational programs.

This spring, NEREF was able to provide fourteen scholarships to members of the roofing industry to assist those who might not have otherwise been able to further their education. Through the generosity of several foundation members and contractors, all fourteen scholarships were completely funded. However, even with their generosity, the Foundation was forced to turn away more than forty deserving applicants. Our goal is to be able to provide additional scholarships to deserving individuals from the roofing industry in the years to come.
