By Evelyn Witterholt.

DaVinci Roofscapes offers a variety of synthetic slate options that are designed to last longer than natural roofing materials.

Slate roofs are some of the most beautiful looking roofs out there. Homeowners who love the look of slate but want a more lightweight and long-lasting roof should consider DaVinci Roofscapes’ synthetic slate offerings! In this video from the 2023 International Roofing Expo (IRE), Mark Pagel walks us through the best synthetic slate options DaVinci has to offer.

Mark, the general manager for DaVinci, breaks down what sets a DaVinci roof apart from the rest. He says that their synthetic slate lines come in a variety of heights and styles that is sure to meet the needs of every homeowner. They are also easy to install and highly durable.

“DaVinci slate products have many features and benefits,” Mark says. “We have a Class 4 impact rating, Class A fire rating. We’re resistant to cracking, breaking, splitting. It’s very easy to install and lightweight. It performs well in high wind situations. It’s very resistant to algae and mold growth. Bugs and insects aren’t able to cause problems like they can with some natural products.”

The two latest additions to their synthetic slate line are their Province™ Slate and Inspire™ Classic Slate. The Province line is a thicker roofing material whereas the Inspire line is thinner and offers a more weathered look. Mark says that they have been well received by contractors and homeowners, particularly in terms of the price point of the Province Slate.

“We’ve had great reception because of the price point, because of the aesthetics and the ease of installation,” he says. When discussing their Inspire line, he says, “Inspire is a great addition to the DaVinci offering. It offers a different profile and a projection away from the roof deck at a quarter of an inch. It just creates a different look, a little more weathered look as well.”
