Roofing Road Trips Podcast: Nicole Gray

Roofing Road Trips with Heidi with Special Guest Nicole Gray, Loyalty Program Manager at IKO - PODCAST TRANSCRIPTION
June 1, 2020 at 8:00 a.m.

By Lauren White, RCS Reporter.

Learn more about a loyalty program that gives contractors a competitive edge.

IKO has invested a lot into their business over the last couple of years, especially with their loyalty program, ROOFPRO®.  Nicole Gray, the loyalty program manager for IKO, shares with Heidi J. Ellsworth, RoofersCoffeeShop® partner, details about ROOFPRO and the numerous benefits contractors gain access to, such as online education, partner discounts, marketing support, and more.

In her role, Nicole’s focus is, “what the contractor’s needs are, to be an advocate for them and make sure they get what they need for their business.”  ROOFPRO is a three-tiered system that offers a number of benefits depending on a contractor's tier level. These benefits include, “education and training, business tools and support, limited warranties and opportunities for lead generation,” Nicole explains.  “...The more contractors invest in IKO, the more we’re going to invest in them.”

There are a variety of requirements to be a part of ROOFPRO.  IKO vets their applicants to ensure they’re getting quality contractors.  They look at how long contractors have been in business, proof of insurance, homeowner customer reviews online, and they conduct a financial background check, among other things.  There are also online educational requirements to be completed within a certain time after signing up for the program.

The ROOFPRO Contractor Portal is “the online destination for all things ROOFPRO,” Nicole discloses.  This portal grants contractors access to an invoice upload tool, IKO University for online training, and the PROZone, which allows contractors to order branded swag, samples, displays, and other items.

The IKO ROOFPRO program partners are “the most underrated part of our program,” according to Nicole.  IKO works with a variety of third-party partners that offer great discounts, including: EagleView, HOVER, GuildQuality, HomeStars (Canada), and HomeAdvisor.  Their most recent partner is HailTrace, which is a weather reporting service that helps contractors identify storm areas.

Loyalty programs, such as ROOFPRO, provide contractors with resources and tools that can help take their business to the next level.  Now is the perfect time to sign up for this program, do the required online education, and explore the benefits of IKO ROOFPRO. Use this quarantine to your advantage by investing in tools that help your company go digital, streamline your services, and also provide you with benefits.
