JobNimbus is a Roofer’s Dream Business Application

This easy-to-use app can save you time, money, and headaches.

Not only am I learning about roofing and the technical terms associated with it through working as a freelance writer for RoofersCoffeeShop®, but I’m learning what it takes to manage a roofing company.  I’ve grown up in the business world, working at my parents’ general store in Camp Sherman, Oregon, and receiving my undergraduate degree in marketing. There are so many applications that are helping businesses thrive and more are being developed every day.  With our technologically driven world and the younger generations relying solely on technology, these applications are becoming increasingly important.  

Most businesses are looking for ways to increase productivity and efficiency, and JobNimbus can do both, saving companies eight hours per week per employee on average.  That equates to a whole day of work per person! The JobNimbus demo video explains that “With JobNimbus you’ll empower your team to sell more, work more efficiently, scale with everything under control and enable your business to grow.” 

JobNimbus is a customer relationship management (CRM) and project management software wrapped up into one easy-to-use application.  With JobNimbus, you can manage contacts, jobs, and tasks from a single, simplified interface. Because JobNimbus is cloud-based, you can access your information wherever you are, get everyone on the same page, and grow your business.  And everything is stored and backed up by the JobNimbus backup so you don’t have to worry about losing information.

This application can be used with any browser and is even mobile-capable, meaning you can take all your information with you and update it in real-time.  According to the demo, employees “Can work in offline mode too so you have full access to all your customers and jobs even when you’re in the middle of nowhere.”  Growing up and working in a small community in the middle of the woods, the number one comment of friends and customers is, “There’s no cell service here.” This application would be extremely useful for companies coming to towns and communities like Camp Sherman to work on or bid jobs.

While watching the demo videos, I was really impressed to learn that everything is automatically tracked, logged, and sent.  Phone call durations are tracked, modifications are logged, and reminders and notifications are sent when projects or tasks are due.  When you mention someone's name, like tagging a person on Facebook or Instagram, they’re sent a notification automatically so employees don’t have to remember to send an email or add it to their to-do list.  JobNimbus is here to make everyone’s lives easier.

Another feature I enjoyed about JobNimbus is the integration capabilities.  This application can interact with QuickBooks, Excel, and email seamlessly. Once contact information is saved, documents will auto-fill with that information so you don’t have to waste time typing it all in.  Lastly, everyone has access to all information at all times, that way everyone is on the same page with every job and client.  

I’m all about organization and so is JobNimbus!  People, tasks, and jobs are color-coded. Photos and documents from the job and site can be saved to the company profile without having to search through multiple folders or numerous photos on your phone.  Boards are an important organizational tool that is interactive and gives you a “20/20 vision of your entire sales and production pipelines…showing you the status of every job and where the bottlenecks are,” as shown in the demo.  Nothing can slip through the cracks.  

The mobile capabilities are impressive.  Everything is right at your fingertips even while out of the office.  At a job site, it’s easy to save photos, write notes, and mark tasks as completed all using the mobile app.  The demo video explains that estimates can be built, “in seconds using saved templates and exact pricing from your suppliers.”  Estimates can then be turned into material estimates to send to Beacon Roofing or other suppliers.  With another click of your finger, turn these estimates into invoices for your client seamlessly.  When the job is done, payment can be collected right there on the app. Customers even sign documents on the phone!  JobNimbus is also able to ask for a review when the job is completed, thus attracting more business. My generation reads reviews avidly before committing to using a company for their services or even using a recipe found online.  The more reviews you have, the more likely people will use your services.

JobNimbus has something for everyone on your team: sales, production, office manager, and more.  For sales, this application enables people to track leads and follow up on prospects, thus closing more deals.  Additionally, they can track the sales process and the source to know which marketing tools are the most effective for your business.

Production managers will enjoy being able to easily schedule appointments, manage invoices and payments, and build work orders and materials lists.  They can keep track of everything that’s happening with customers and jobs in-progress, including workflow status, changes, and completed tasks, in addition to all subcontractors, crews, installers, and service people using the application.

Managers have full access to tracking sales progress including tasks, calendars, and activity, to ensure everyone is working to their fullest potential.  Managers are able to set target goals for the amount of time employees should spend on a job. They can also track their progress, making sure the most important tasks are handled first.  According to the demo, specific reports allow managers to know, “which marketing channels performing best, which leads source to provide the best leads and see where to spend marketing money to get more bang for your buck.”
