Building your roofing brand online

RCS Influencer Patrick Cochran says that, when used properly, social media can be a great source to build up a professional roofing brand.

Roofing professionals can use social media in many ways to reach new clients and engage with their community. We have social media pages where we post organic content of current and past projects. We also post testimonials, blogs both construction and non-construction related, and videos from our YouTube page. When posting if we have a unique type of post, we will boost our posts so other people outside of our page supporters will see our brand. When anyone interacts with our posts, we make sure to connect with that person in various ways such as inviting them to like the page or message them.

We are also active on community pages to update the community on events we are hosting or respond to people when someone tags our page or shouts out our business. Our team is active on social media and leverages our network to share posts and recommend us when people are searching for a reliable roofing professional.

With social media, our team will also use sponsored ads when working on lead generation. Our team has videos and various strategies to get new potential clients to engage with our ads. Our videos and posts are educational, build brand awareness and have calls to action to get a potential customer to fill out a lead form.

Social media has been a great lead source for us and a great way for us to build brand awareness. It has also helped potential customers learn more about who we are and see all the community work within the industry like SkillsUSA and outside the industry like our volunteer events. We have worked to build out our accounts and remain active posting content about roofing but also about non roofing related topics such as our blogs. Some of the best responses we get is for some of our non-work-related post such as a recent blog about Suicide Awareness within the Construction Industry. We want our page to have organic content about work and about other topics to keep people engaged. And at the same time use sponsored posts/ads to continue to drive lead generation. When used properly social media can be a great source to build up a professional roofing brand.
