DaVinci Roofscapes has established themselves as more than just a provider of high-quality roofing products, but as a go-to partner for many contractors and installers. In this Read Listen Watch® (RLW), Heidi J. Ellsworth sat down with Mike Heiland of Heiland Roofing and Exteriors, Andrew Prchal of Gunner Roofing and Mark Pagel of DaVinci Roofscapes to talk about how DaVinci helps contractors build stronger roofs and boost their businesses.
Mike was actually involved with the initial development of DaVinci’s composite products. He shared, “Late 1999 to early 2000s, I heard that John Humphreys and Tim Gentry were developing a synthetic material that emulates that look of traditional roofing. That really intrigued me, and it was really a fun deal helping them put this together and watching this grow.” In the time since then, Mike and his team at Heiland Roofing have built a powerful partnership with DaVinci that has helped them grow. He explained, “In regards to our relationship, they've been great, very supportive, whether it's through marketing, postcards, trade shows, whatever the case may be. They established the Masterpiece program which we're a part of and that's been really beneficial. It's just been a great experience.”
This incredible partnership is one that Andrew and the team at Gunner have also experienced. He shared, “Introducing composite to our customers, that was the toughest part. And when we were getting started, we didn’t have a lot of example installs to show them. But DaVinci supported us. We were able to talk to them and say, ‘All right, we want to see some actual examples of this product’ and they’d send us what we needed.”
From DaVinci’s side, offering this type of support and partnership with their contractors was just a natural choice. Mark explained, “We know we're not going to be on every roof that's installed, but we really want to be a major part of what our customers like Mike and Andrew are doing. We want to help them be successful because we know that we are still going to be a percentage of their overall business and if we help them take it from 3% to 10%, we're all going to be successful. And that's really what it's all about.”
