What does it look like when a roofing manufacturer puts contractors first – not just in product, but in experience, education and community? RoofersCoffeeShop® crew members spent the day at Build with TAMKO, and let’s just say: it’s more than shingles and specifications. It’s about leveling up the entire roofing journey – from how contractors install TAMKO shingles to how they sell them, protect homeowners, and ultimately, stand apart in their markets.
TAMKO welcomed contractors to GEHA Field Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, for this exclusive event, with nearly 500 roofing professionals registered to attend. While this was a single-day event, it was packed with educational sessions, workmanship training, product demonstrations and more.
The event featured educational tracks designed to meet contractors where you are, whether you’re just beginning your journey into The TAMKO Edge® program or you’re a TAMKO Pro Diamond® Certified Contractor. Each session provided the opportunity to learn alongside contractors in the same tier, creating an environment of peer-to-peer support, shared insights and strategic learning.
TAMKO also showcased several of their affinity partners, including Roofle, CompanyCam, JobNimbus and Blue Collar Media Group. These relationships offer contractors exclusive benefits like discounted services, reduced pricing and extended warranties – real value that contractors can turn around and offer to their homeowners.
Hands-on training was offered to teach contractors proper application techniques and field-specific compliance for TAMKO’s new Contractor Workmanship warranties. The focus was to ensure that contractors not only install roofs correctly but also help protect homeowners with confidence – and stand out in their markets with added exclusivity and support.
One exciting demonstration allowed contractors to throw a baseball – clocked by a radar gun – at a TAMKO shingle display, simulating hail impact. It was a fun and eye-opening way to show off the durability of StormFighter FLEX® shingles, TAMKO’s Class 4 impact-rated, polymer-modified shingles.
Another major highlight was a powerful presentation by John Senac of NTS on navigating the insurance world. John works to educate contractors, engineers and property owners through detailed roofing documentation. He offered actionable strategies for working with insurance companies – from asking the right questions to leveraging TAMKO’s technical documents, contractors walked away with tools to help homeowners get the most out of their claims.
Attendees had two opportunities to tour Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium – home of the Chiefs, Taylor Swift sightings and soon, the 2026 FIFA World Cup Series. Contractors got to explore the lockers rooms, press areas, suites and took in the view from the 50-yard line tunnel. It was a unique experience that underscored one of TAMKO’s main messages: this day wasn’t just about roofing; it was about experience and fostering community.
Keep an eye out – TAMKO might just be coming to a city near you. And if you’re not already part of The TAMKO Edge® contractor program, now’s the time to check it out. From exclusive and tools to a network of partners and perks, this program is designed to help contractors succeed at every level.
