American Metalcraft Inc.®, a WBE certified manufacturer, was founded in 1986 and is known as a leader in the architectural metal manufacturing world. Product lines include rainscreens and wet seal wall systems, perforated panels, ornamental metal, custom sunshades, column covers, decorative exterior elements and more.

With our sister company, Finishing Dynamics as part of our facility, we offer standard and custom PVDF coatings as a one stop shop for your project requirements. This saves our clients time and money shipping between two facilities.

Fabricator versus manufacturer

The idea of “engineered metal products” means freedom for architects and designers. AMI doesn’t maintain any inventory. All products are custom fabrications for specific projects. For this reason we don’t ask designers to work within a particular panel size or module. Instead we work with you during the design process to meet your design with the most economical solution possible. Our knowledge and experience adds value to the design process. We’ll work with you to find a custom solution that balances your aesthetic concerns with the best use of materials. That’s how we deliver a custom look while still controlling costs.

Perforated Panels

Custom perforated patterns add a unique and expressive focal point to any project. Solid aluminum perforated panels that are post-fabrication painted are the best choice for durability with a finish that lasts for years to come. Why not perforated coil coat? Because the perforated edges are raw metal, exposed to the elements which creates oxidation and can quickly deteriorate the finish. With post-fabrication finishing, all perforated edges are coated, protected from the elements. Over glazing or as part of a sunshade system, perforated panels offer a reduction in heat transfer to the building’s interior, saving energy. If you’re project requires screening equipment or parking garages, creating a semi-private space or an intricate custom design, custom signage or that wow factor, perforated panels are a great choice.

AMI RS100 Rainscreen

The AMI RS100 rainscreen is a customer favorite with its sleek design and fast install time. There are so many design options – vertical, horizontal, brick patterns and more. Unlike coil coat, American Metalcraft plate panels don’t require minimums for custom colors. With our sister company Finishing Dynamics as an approved applicator for Sherwin Williams, Akzo Nobel, PPG and Valspar (now Sherwin Williams) your products will have the highest quality fluoropolymer finishes available.

AMI RS400 Rainscreen

Elegant and timeless, the American Metalcraft RS400* offers a clean and sharp profile with the strength and sustainability of plate. NAMI Certified (National Accreditation and Management Institute), this sturdy and monolithic panel system lends itself to projects such as museums, airports, hotels, corporate headquarters, universities and more. The RS400 is a heavier gauge aluminum and has an assembled back and self-cleaning edge.

Barrier Plate 200 System

Before rainscreens gained popularity, wet seal, or barrier-wall systems as they are sometimes known, were the preferred choice in building skins. The panels act as the primary seal on the building, preventing any air, water or vapor from entering the system. Wet seal panels have welded and ground smooth corners, and upon installation a backer rod and caulk are applied in the joints between each panel, concealing the fasteners and completing the weather tight seal. In some instances, a barrier-wall systems is preferred over rainscreens due to weather conditions, climate and areas of high wind loads or pollution. They are still the skin of choice in China and Korea due to air quality conditions there.
