Roofmaster Roof Flashing Paint is the Industry’s Original Solution

Roofmaster Products Company pioneered The Roof Flashing Paint business in the late 1990's.

The practice started in Texas, where roofing contractors began painting the flashings and vents of large tracts to match the color of the shingles. They did this because it was an added feature they could offer to differentiate themselves from competitors who were not using the aesthetically pleasing technique.

When contractors first began painting flashings and vents they used paint in a can and a paint brush. The process proved to be time consuming and potentially messy – if an open can tipped it could quickly ruin the roof, not to mention the driveway and landscaping below.

To speed the process, contractors tried canned spray paints from their local big box stores but found that the paints just weren’t made to adhere to the metal parts.

After seeing the problems faced by the roofing contractors and knowing that Roofmaster was already painting its own manufactured equipment, the company’s reps in Texas brought the idea to the Roofmaster engineers and asked if they could develop a long-lasting, heavy-duty paint formulated specifically for metal roof flashings. The Roofmaster paint brand was developed and became an instant success in Texas, Oklahoma, California and the western states.

The idea soon caught on throughout the Midwest, the Southeast and in Florida after contractors following storms around the country to do repair work began the practice of painting flashings in those areas. Now, painting flashings, vents, pipes and dormers has become a standard practice on residential and commercial roofs throughout most of the U.S.

Today, the Roofmaster Flashing Paint has been used by contractors to give an eye-pleasing, professionally finished touch to millions of roofs, making it the #1 brand in the roofing industry! Contractors trust Roofmaster Roof Flashing Paint’s premium quality that resists fading and covers in only one to two coats. The thick paint will not run or drip and provides better coverage per can than regular spray paint. The paint is fast drying and provides a wind-resistant, accurate application with 16 colors to match any of the manufacturer’s shingles, tiles, shakes or slate.
