Roofing in the Digital Age and Why Contractors Must Adapt

Roofle Roofing in the Digital Age
August 24, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.

By Adam Cabrera.

The world of roofing is undergoing a transformative shift, thanks to technology.

On a recent episode of Roofing Road Trips, Heidi J. Ellsworth sat down with Mathiew McDaniel and Travis Harvego of Roofle. A tech company that has been at the forefront of change in the roofing industry, Roofle aims at providing an innovative online solution for roofing transactions.

Roofle’s genesis was to replicate the in-person sales experience on a digital platform. As Travis recalls, "We wanted to build this for contractors of all shapes and sizes." Launched amid the pandemic, Roofle initially catered directly to homeowners. However, recognizing a wider industry demand, they pivoted, introducing Roof Quote PRO.

This tool, as described by Travis, is "the ultimate top-of-funnel tool," allowing contractors to infuse their websites with the ability to offer direct sales to consumers. “One thing we're definitely seeing is much higher conversion rates. So, six to ten times what they're used to getting on their website, they're getting in leads," he notes.

But it's not just about the leads. Matthew underlines how technology is revolutionizing the purchasing experience. "You're getting more qualified buyers, you're also building a lot of trust by offering pricing upfront," he explains. That trust proves invaluable as sales reps confess that these are "some of the easiest sales that they've made." Matthew goes on to reveal an intriguing insight, "The biggest thing that we learned... was that 70% of our business coming in came in between 9:00 p.m. and midnight." Clearly, the modern homeowner values flexibility.

For contractors, adapting to this digital transformation may be less optional than it was before. The younger generations, who are increasingly becoming homeowners, are tech-savvy and expect a seamless online shopping experience. As both Travis and Matthew stress, now is the time for contractors to embrace tools like Roof Quote PRO. Not only to keep up but to stay ahead.

Listen to the Roofing Road Trips episode to hear more about how online platforms like Roofle are changing the way the industry interacts with customers.
