The Colorado Roofing Association (CRA) is encouraging roofing contractors, suppliers and manufacturers across Colorado to participate in this year’s Habitat for Humanity building efforts through its “Roof Over Your Head” program. The initiative connects roofing professionals with active housing projects where donated labor, materials and funding help families gain access to safe and stable housing.
According to CRA, projects are currently underway across multiple regions of Colorado, including Pikes Peak, Metro Denver, Summit and Vail Valley, Fort Collins, St. Vrain Valley, Grand County and Berthoud. There are a variety of ways members can contribute depending on availability and project fit, they just need to ask!
CRA’s partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Colorado has continued for more than a decade. The organization stated that industry contributions through the partnership have surpassed $950,000, making CRA one of Habitat for Humanity of Colorado’s largest corporate partners. The program focuses on connecting local projects with roofing contractors and suppliers willing to donate their expertise and resources.
Habitat homes are typically straightforward new-construction projects with simple rooflines ranging from 13 to 22 squares. These projects generally do not involve tear-offs or permitting requirements, making participation more accessible for roofing companies looking to volunteer time or materials.
The program also highlights broader industry involvement. CRA recognized dozens of participating member companies that have contributed to previous projects, including manufacturers, distributors and roofing contractors from across the state. Every contribution helps move families closer to homeownership while strengthening local communities.
CRA is asking interested members to contact the association directly to discuss availability, location and the type of contribution they can provide. Participating companies will be matched with projects based on fit and scheduling needs.
