Revolutionizing rooftop installations one project at a time

Revolutionizing rooftop installations one project at a time
April 13, 2025 at 9:00 p.m.

By Jesse Sanchez.

A small but mighty innovation is turning heads at trade shows — and on rooftops across the country.

At the International Roofing Expo (IRE), Anchor Products’ booth wasn’t just another stop on the crowded show floor — it was a magnet for contractors, engineers and specifiers intrigued by one question: Is there finally a simpler, faster way to attach rooftop equipment?

Turns out, there is — and it’s been around for over a decade.

Joel Stanley and Scott Carpenter, two of the driving forces behind Anchor Products, walked attendees through their flagship innovation: the U-Anchor. It’s a deceptively simple product with wide-reaching applications, designed to attach equipment to virtually any roof system — from solar panels to snow retention devices — without compromising the roof’s integrity or voiding warranties.

“It’s exciting to see contractors and specifiers say, ‘Where have you guys been?’” said Scott. “We’ve been right here for 14 years.”

The product’s appeal lies in its adaptability and ease of use. With installation taking just minutes and compatibility across major roof materials — TPO, PVC, EPDM and more — the U-Anchor eliminates the need for cumbersome, leak-prone methods like pitch pockets and compression seals. “It’s literally a three-to-five-minute install,” Joel added.

The company’s show presence promoted not just product demonstrations but real-world applications, including solar panel mounts, electrical boxes and ladder attachments. One visitor, Chris Bowman of Collins Roofing, was quoted saying the system “is solving all the problems that have been excluded from warranties for decades.”

In a move to bring these solutions beyond the trade show floor, Anchor Products has developed a mobile version of its setup: a traveling demo trailer dubbed the Mobile Showcase. “We set it up with our team, we invite different folks, we partner with different folks to bring folks in and we show exactly what we've done here at the trade show floor,” said Scott. “The light bulb goes on and they understand the application.”

What makes Anchor Products stand out isn't just the product — it's the problem-solving ethos the team brings to each conversation. And for anyone dealing with the challenges of rooftop installations, it’s clear: they’re not just showing products — they’re offering answers.

Watch the full interview with Joel and Scott to see how a straightforward solution is reshaping the way rooftop equipment gets installed!
