In the construction industry, weather is one of the most unpredictable factors in any job. And, at the same time, one of the most crucial factors. Changes in weather conditions and temperatures can drastically change the way products act when applied and your crew’s ability to apply them. For example, the flash-off times of membrane bonding adhesives can be completely thrown off by these types of environmental variables. That’s why here at Versico Roofing Systems we have developed ReadyFlash technology. This technology can help contractors produce consistent and efficient membrane-to-substrate adhesion even when these environmental variables come into play.
How does it do this? Versico’s ReadyFlash technology allows contractors to manipulate adhesive flash-off times by choosing between two different-colored facers on every board. ReadyFlash products feature a dark-colored coated glass facer (CGF) or glass reinforced felt (GRF) facer on one side of the insulation board and a light-colored CGF or GRF on the other. Utilizing the sun’s energy, the dark facer accelerates adhesive flash-off, while the light facer slows it down. A few scenarios are listed below.
Available as a standard feature on VersiCore Flat, SecurShield flat and SecurShield HD insulating cover boards, ReadyFlash technology:
