Elevate’s PVC portfolio was built with contractors in mind

Elevate’s PVC portfolio was built with contractors in mind
December 28, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.

By Emma Peterson.

Frank Palmer and Emma Nealy explain how feedback from contractors inspired the creation of MAC PVC and the other Elevate PVC offerings.

At Elevate, serving contractors in the field is always at the core of their business choices, and that includes their product development. To learn more about how Elevate creates the products that contractors need, Frank Palmer and Emma Nealy stopped by for a Read Listen Watch® (RLW) webinar.

If you think about it, every new product developed is a response to a problem. Whether it's related to efficiency during installation or long-term performance, innovation is all about problem solving. This is something the team at Elevate knows well, as Frank explained, “When we develop a product, we want to solve a problem and we rely on our customers to tell us what the challenges are. And they trust that when they give us feedback, we’ll create a solution that will last.”

A great example of this product problem solving is the development of Elevate’s PVC line. Emma explained, “We’re always listening to our customers and one of the things we’ve been hearing is that PVC is a big segment of today's commercial roofing business.” This growth comes for many reasons, including the growing need for data centers, which PVC is an ideal roofing option for. But, no matter why it’s a growing market, Elevate heard that their contractors needed more support in that realm. So they created the MAX PVC.

MAX PVC is a membrane that is extra thick, giving it industry-leading resistance to punctures, tearing and damage. Emma shared some more about the product release, saying, “It’s warranted for up 30 years and contractors can do a lot with it. But that’s not the extent of our answer to our contractors’ need for more PVC. Alongside the MAX PVC we rolled out a vinyl PVC rib (PVC with the look of standing seam roof system) and the MAX PVC XR (a fleece-back system).” All of this was done in order to make sure that Elevate contractors had the tools and products that they need to succeed in today’s roofing market. Frank put it simply, “Since we're a low-slope membrane company, we have rubber, we have TPO, we have asphalts, we need to be in a PVC business... We have customers that install PVC and if they're going to install our TPO and EPDM, they should be installing our PVC as well. So we made PVC for them.”
