eBook: A Local Business Guide to Getting Started on Nextdoor

Surefire Local Business Guide

By Karen L. Edwards, RCS Editor.

Chances are that many of your customers are a part of the Nextdoor social platform and you should be there too. This eBook will help you get started.

Nextdoor is a private social network for neighborhoods. The platform uses multiple methods to confirm that their members are real people with verified addresses. I’m part of my local Nextdoor network and I appreciate hearing from my neighbors and learning from the information that is shared on the platform. Some of the most frequent posts that I see are from neighbors looking for recommendations for everything from dog walking to handyman requests to larger home services needs such as roofing.

People are quick to share praise and make recommendations for businesses where they are pleased with the work and the experience. They are also quick to point out bad experiences as well. Recently, a neighbor on my network posted about a bad experience that she had with a painter and she was very detailed with the information. Many people thanked her and remarked that they would be sure to avoid that business.

As a roofing contractor, you need to have a profile for your business on Nextdoor because neighbors can tag your company when they are making a recommendation. If you are wondering if there is a Nextdoor neighborhood in your service area, the answer is yes. Nextdoor has 100 percent nationwide coverage in the U.S. and is used in over 270,000 neighborhoods.

Surefire Local prepared this eBook to help you get started quickly on one of the most powerful referral platforms on the market. The best part is that Nextdoor is free for both neighbors and businesses to use.

Get started today by following the steps outlined in this free eBook today.
