Ditch the flip books for interactive sales

Ditch the flip books for interactive sales
October 25, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.

By Jesse Sanchez.

Roofing sales are going high-tech to help contractors ditch outdated strategies for personalized, immersive presentations that close deals faster.

In this episode of Roofing Road Trips®, host Heidi J. Ellsworth sits down with Alan Davis, product manager at Ingage, to dissect a seismic shift in the roofing sales landscape: the rise of dynamic, visual-first presentations tailored to each homeowner. Gone are the days of flip books and static brochures. Today’s contractors are expected to match the digital experiences consumers have come to expect from brands like Apple, Amazon and Netflix. “It’s not about just showing some text and talking about this hunk of asphalt shingle I have to show you,” Alan says. “It’s about an immersive experience.”

That’s where Ingage steps in. The platform is reimagining in-home and virtual sales presentations, turning them into interactive stories built on personalization and visualization. Alan breaks it down: “We move from those static brochures and decks to these interactive, intelligent, deeply personalized presentations and that’s where the real wins start coming in.”

Most homeowners simply can’t picture how their home will look after a renovation. According to Alan, “80% of homeowners can’t visualize the change. 20% of people get it if you tell them, 80% need a picture.” That lack of visualization is a sales hurdle Ingage is eliminating with its latest integration with Renoworks, a technology company specializing in photorealistic design renderings. Alan explains, “Renoworks creates those stunning, accurate visuals that homeowners love. We wrap those visuals into that narrative, who we are as a roofer, what we recommend for products and services and why it really matters.”

The impact of this integration goes beyond visuals. It streamlines workflow for reps by reducing “application fatigue,” the exhausting need to juggle customer relationship management software, drone tools and more. “When they’re individual discrete solutions, it becomes a real challenge,” Alan notes. The Ingage–Renoworks pairing solves this by acting as a “single pane of glass,” uniting tech stacks into one frictionless experience.
