Beau Wolcott of B. Wolcott Construction Shares Sales Success

Sales Transformation Group- Beau Wolcott
July 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.

Being account focused and working with Sales Accelerator takes roofing company to the next level in sales and predictability.

Ryan Groth of Sales Transformation Group has been working with roofing contractors across the country on accelerating their sales efforts.  He recently sat down with Beau Wolcott of B. Wolcott Construction to talk about the changes Wolcott has made in his sales processes.

Wolcott is a young owner of a roofing company in western New York and is realizing 4x growth within 6 months of using the Sales Accelerator program. In this interview, Ryan asked him what life was like before buying Sales Accelerator and what has taken place since then.

As part of the interview, Beau shared his frustrations. “I probably wasted $40k in leads that converted into maybe one job last year. When things weren't closing, I realized it wasn't a marketing problem, but it was me that was the problem. I tried other sales training methodologies and none of them sat well with me. I really feel that with Sales Accelerator, I can do the right steps and get the accountability and support I need. Plus, it's for my industry and I really value that.”

“It's working because I am doing it every day, making it a habit,” continued Wolcott.  “Before, I just reacted to what came my way and tried to bid the job. Now, I'm picking and choosing who I decide to work with and am much more focused on accounts, even if it's a $1K repair. The money is better, being account focused is what will get me through hard times, because it's just a matter of time.”

Wolcott has found that the little changes are making the biggest difference, “Instead of just being focused on getting one big job and a commission, I am taking the little, smaller steps.  Even if it's a thousand-dollar transaction, in the long run, is better than a hundred thousand if it is the right job and customer who becomes an account.  Having ongoing accounts is what's going to separate you from other roofing companies when it comes right down to it.  Having people that basically have your cellphone number when they need you.  They know they can call you and they can get the service they want and be treated the way they should be treated.”
