JOB SUMMARY:
The National Tool Merchandiser is responsible for optimizing Gulfeagle’s branch showroom merchandise and layout across the country to maximize customer activity and drive top line sales while increasing profitability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain regular contact with tool and showroom vendors to include negotiating programs/pricing, assist with PO’s and ordering, assist with product mix, logistics, promotions, spiffs, etc.
Merchandise and maintain products throughout the showroom including stocking, rotating, and building displays. Utilize analytics for ROI for best use of shelf space, layout/design of showrooms, use of showroom space, proper showroom upkeep, oversee showroom build outs, etc.
Measure and track success of showroom, tool/showroom sales and effectiveness of merchandising
Oversee viability, launch/manage tool catalog, marketing of tools, tool e-commerce, etc.
Work closely with marketing, EVP, and/or President to achieve proper objectives
Other Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for ensuring all Gulfeagle branches nationwide are setup for success using showroom displays to enhance the customer experience and meet the needs of the individual market. The merchandiser will ensure collaboration between product vendors/manufacturers, branch managers, and the customer while creating a universal strategy with consistency, and best practices across the organization. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred: 3+ years front-line sales experience or bachelor’s degree in business or related field

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1-3 years’ experience in a similar role
Ability to organize and execute a showroom to drive purchasing
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to travel 50-75%
Ability to operate a PC and related software
Strong ability to prioritize and meet company timelines/goals
Merchandising degree, metric and/or analytic training
