I use it all the time.
Eave Intake Ventilation mostly.
Mid-Roof Intake ventilation for open soffit roofs.
Roof-To-Wall Exhaust Ventilation where a roof horizontally abuts a second story wall and requires to be vented.

We used some about 15 years ago on an ice plant. I had to look up the name of the rotor type and could only find this pick. The name was a "savonius rotor vent". You simply swap the rotor upside down for intake and turn rightside up for exhaust. Not sur>>>
