Scrooge. What happens to the poor fellow?

Anybody ever watch any version?

2 weeks back, we watched Scrooge with Alstair Simms. When the movie started, and up until the third ghost, he seemed like a real nice fellow. Then things went south and he gave all his money away. What a shame.
