wow john, i had no idea you wrote that article. i used the tips in that article to slate my first cone this year. it was a great success and i look forward to doing many more. thanks for the advise. i'm currently working on my first round valley, so far so good! traditional roofing is a great magazine. i know theres a major lack of interest for permanent roofing on this site but everyone could still enjoy the magazine, it's free and available at slateroofcentral.com>>>
