We're a Texas based company called Adjuster Busters. We're a collection of licensed adjusters who've taken to working on supplements for contractors. We've spent the last 7 months focusing on Houston and now where expanding nationwide.

While most roofing companies have someone on staff that knows how to write an adjustment, we found that in these "disaster areas", companies were getting buried with claims. They were having trouble keeping all of them organzied and weren't getting every dime possible.

We provided 24-hour turnaround for submitting the supplement and only asked for 3% of the claim. Too many of these companies are asking for 5 to 10(?!)% of the claim which just isn't right for so many reasons.

If you know of a company that's looking for help with supplements, please send 'em our way. Our people are knowledgeable, friendly and fast.

Call us at 817.704.4243 for more information.>>>

Sounds like a fair deal to me i may even give you a call in the future,i get tired of doing all the paper work after a storm. But i do believe insurance companys respond to licensed adjusters much better then just roofing contractors. They do not feel we are as knowledgeable as them and do not view us as peers.>>>

True, it's not hard which is why we don't understand why some people ask for 10% of more of the entire claim. While it's not difficult, some companies would rather focus on getting more business and getting the actual job done, while leaving the insurance work to someone else. There's also something to be said for having a licensed adjuster completing the supplement. We put our licenses on the line everytime we do a supplement. Insurance companies know that and are less likely to question the supplement.

Obviously, I'm biased but isn't doesn't seem like rocket science to think that paying $400 to get an additional $20,000 without having to deal with the insurance company is a good deal. If you try it one time and don't like it, you're out 2% of one supplement. Risk factor seems pretty low.>>>

It is really easy to this type of thing . The insurance company has a 800 number for the supplement process . Most of the time this type of service is used because lack of knowledge of the process thus the fear. It is not Rocket Science , I am blasted bad mouthed because of igmorance and fear . That is one of the reasons I'm staying on task in my insurance threads explaining the process. It is really not that hard. If you want to give your money to someone who will do it for ya more power to ya. IMHO your wasting your money throwing it away. My question Why?>>>

We bill for half of the 3% upon completion, since it's fair to assume the contractor will get at least half of the supplement (repricing with current pricing alone will generally cover that). The remainder isn't billed until the claim is settled.

Everything is done on Xactimate, with pictures attached as needed. We are the contact for the adjuster to call, but the client will have to meet the adjuster at the property if there is a need. We don't put anything outrageous on the claim, so generally there isn't a need for a re-inspect. Particularly if pictures are attached.

Regarding posting on other sites, thanks for the heads-up. We'll look into it.>>>

By the way George, I am a moderator on one of the other sites you posted on, www.ContractorTalk.com and seeking out business directly like you are doing is considered Spam, so just to let you know, your thread on that forum had already been deleted to the Trash by the time I got the Reported Post Alert.

Why don't you try to offer up some viable working methods for contractors to understand in how to deal with the claims process, before things turn awry and falls all apart.

Provide something informative, rather than just Spam the site to sell your services please and you would probably not get into any Reported Posts trouble worth banning your account for then.

The reason I mentioned that name, Peter Crosa, who runs a Forum For Restoration Contractors, called: http://www.therestorationforum.com/phpBB2/index.php

is because he has a course and book out there titled, "Soft Selling Hardened Claims Adjusters", which also goes by the name of, Adjuster - Busters - Tampa Workshop - April 20, 2009 http://www.softsellinghardenedclaimsadjusters.com/adjusterbustersthetampaseminar.aspx

3% seems fair for the excess supplement, but is there any fee if no results, as a minimum?

Do you do the entire Xactimate or Simsol, etc... write up based on the photos and measurements?

What if the adjuster disagrees with either the numbers or the scope revised? When is that tackled?

3% of the net change, Ed. If the original claim was $10,000 and we submit a supplemented claim of $20,000, we would get 3% of $10,000 or $300.

We handle everything via email, phone or fax so that we get all the information. That's why were able to charge only 3% and why we're expanding to a nationwide operation.

Thanks for asking, Ed!

Don't know Peter, sorry. >>>

3%of the entire claim or just on the additional supplements you get for them above and beyond the initial scoped out prices?

Do you need to be on site or handle it all via e-mail and photos?
