Do any of you use Facebook or similar services for business?
I had a customer invite me. I think it was in response to me offering to email pics of a project, since he lives in another state.
I signed up, but haven't had time to figure it all out. I thought this was a thing for kids.
Anybody got any insight?>>>
It started off as a college thing and they opened it to the public a couple years ago. I use as a way to keep up with family and friends, especially those flung across the country and like mentioned above, it has become a Classmates.com since I found a ton of people I went to HS with. In my opinion LinkedIn is more about career, Facebook/MySpace for fun. In all cases though, lines get blurred.
I started a group on Facebook called Roofers Coffee Shop a while back. Just checked it and we are actually up to 57 members. Not bad. Now I better start actually posting to it.>>>
I am on facebook too. I can keep track of my "supposed to be" adult children :)>>>
I'm on face book . It is the company water cooler of the internet.>>>
I have a facebook and myspace. I rather myspace>>>
You're not missing anything Mike. I just get to sneak in a link or two every now and then.>>>
I have had a lot of people invite me to different networking groups, family, friends, customers, RCS'ers...... groups like Plaxo, Facebook, Twitter and some other's I can't remember.
Never joined one. Don't know why. Don't trust them I guess. Again, don't know why.
So I guess the answer to your question is "No."
Ignorace is bliss at times, so why screw with it. LOL>>>
it is a thing for little kids..... so far from here........ tom hay thomas kral (grumpy trg tinner aaron roof dude(andy schindler( the guy from Conklin coatings craig lounsbury dan alte jim bennette johnK sean malone paul mazurik
besides it being a social network, it has a few addictive games, and also a photo section to post pictures.... grumpy is the first one that I have seen that also has a facebook page for his business. Its kind of like classmates.com meets yahoo messenger. Rumor has it that potential buyers are thinking about making it a pay site, but for now it is free...and recently has a new look, and a lot of commentary about that. Facebook, myspace ,twitter, Linkedin, digg, stumble.....hard to decide where to spend your time...but if your looking to find someplace to put together an easy to update ...work in progress site for customers to log on... I suggest blogger.com...so easy ...even a roofer can do it....
