Reshaping rooftop resiliency

Reshaping rooftop resiliency
November 1, 2025 at 3:00 p.m.

By Jesse Sanchez.

From food plants to data centers, Anchor Products is on a mission to help secure rooftop equipment and preserve operational continuity.

In this episode of Roofing Road Trips®, Joel Stanley, founder of Anchor Products, takes listeners into the world of rooftop resiliency. Joel speaks about the gravity of what’s at stake when rooftop equipment fails; from data centers to food processing plants, the margin for error is razor thin.

Joel shared an example of a food facility that processes thousands of pigs a day, saying, “There are essential places that have to run. If they have a leak over their slaughtering line or over their meat processing line and they have to shut it down for any given period of time, how do you ever recover?” Anchor Products' attachment systems are designed to prevent these exact kinds of disruptions, securing rooftop equipment and preserving operational continuity.

Designing attachment solutions isn’t just a matter of engineering, it’s about preserving the integrity of critical infrastructure. He states that even minor equipment movement can wreak havoc over time. “When you think about some of the membranes that are out there, you're talking about something that's the thickness of a quarter. Over years of wear that you get from equipment moving, from wind, from seismic events, from the air conditioner kicking on and vibrating, it's the same as holding the sand vibrating sander on the roof for years that will eventually damage the roof,” he shared. That constant movement is going to ruin the roof, but the U-Anchor really helps solve those problems.

Joel highlights that product strength alone doesn’t guarantee performance; what truly matters is how well the product integrates into a broader system managed by experienced professionals. “Resiliency on a roof has to do with so many different things,” he said. “It has to do with the right roofing product installed by the right roofing contractor that is trained and understands and has the experience to manage roofing a facility.” Anchor Products is built around that systems-based approach, offering attachment solutions that work seamlessly with the entire roofing assembly to deliver lasting, reliable performance.

Joel drives home the point that attachment design plays a critical role in operational continuity, helping to protect businesses, maintain supply chains and ensure safety across essential facilities.
