Ready or not, AI is here and seeping into every industry, including roofing. Rather than hide from this new technology, JobNimbus is facing this new frontier head-on and embracing change.
For 14 years, JobNimbus has offered industry professionals an all in-one system for customer relationship management and project management. “From lead to close to billing to follow-up — everything's in one system,” Mitch Woodward, JobNimbus enterprise account executive, shared in a tradeshow interview. “We want to automate communications, proposals, invoices, material orders, work orders, scheduling the job — everything.”
Part of realizing this automation goal is by diving head-first into the new world of AI. When deciding where to start, the team at JobNimbus looked at what the market and their customers needed most: enhanced customer service.
"We created an AI that can answer the phones for you. It's pretty incredible. You can have full-on conversations with it,” Mitch explained. “It gets trained. It starts with looking at all the resources on your website so it knows enough about your business, and then you can train it on how you want it to answer certain questions.”
One scenario Mitch provided was of a homeowner discovering a leak late at night. Instead of waiting until the next day’s business hours to schedule an inspection, with JobNimbus’ AI feature, this homeowner can receive 24/7 service and can schedule an appointment. This helps roofing companies retain business even when they aren’t available and gives customers the satisfaction of immediate service.
“This is just the beginning,” Mitch stated. “We have a whole team dedicated just to AI and what we want it to do in the future. That's where the world in general is going, so we definitely want to make sure that our customers are taken care of in that instance.”
