During commercial projects, it’s the small details on the job that often make the biggest difference – especially when you’re dealing with penetrations, ventilation and drainage. FlashCo has engineered a line of prefabricated accessories designed to help you get these components right the first time. At the International Roofing Expo (IRE) 2025, FlashCo Customer Service Manager, Randy O’Shea, walked us through some of the most efficient solutions for wall and ventilation installations available to contractors.
The through-wall scupper was one of several exciting products the company was showcasing this year. “This is a massive time-saver,” Randy shared. “It’s ready to install with a pre-attached membrane flange, so you just heat weld it right to your field membrane.” FlashCo’s through-wall scuppers come with prefabricated corners and a flange designed to lay flat on the roof deck. They’re watertight, field-proven and built to speed up your installation without compromising the quality of the project.
The booth also featured several options for attic and wall ventilation, including the square top vent for attic exhaust and parapet wall vents that offer a more customizable solution for tricky parapet designs. Each product is built with durability and ease of installation in mind, helping you solve for airflow without spending hours fabricating on-site.
One of their more unique vents is the EZ Flapper Vent, that’s ideal for fans or dryer exhaust. It’s a one-way vent, but unlike traditional designs, the flapper mechanism is housed on the sides rather than in the center, reducing condensation and noise – and the screens prevent unwanted access from pests and small animals.
