Lafe Gill

Professional Xactimate supplements and bids in Xactimate format. 40.00 per Xactimate supplement and 75.00 for Xactimate supplement with sketch. If you want me to follow through with the insurance company on your behalf I charge a 4% premium for the dollar amount I earn you along with the charges for the supplement itself. I am good at this and can show verifiable proof. Please contact me with interest as I have to be able to have your company letterhead and information as well as homeowner information. I can manage a full construction company from the ground up but am really only interested in doing Xactimates at this time as I want to spend time with my family. Thanks for your business. Estimators on Call

Because in the case of insurance, the final invoice is what carries the liability. It is a statement saying that all that you have written on the invoice has been completed.

If a 3rd party estimates and comes up with a final scope and amount, and then the contractor does not do all the work but still bills the full amount to the insurance company, that is insurance fraud. The first place the finger in going to point, is at the 3rd party as the contractor scrambles to stay out of jail.

Just curios, why wouldn't you send the final invoice to the customer.

Estimators on Call

A word of warning for you Lafe, (friendly advice, because I don't mind helping competitors) get a mechanism for scoping the job properly, have a lawyer draft a liability release, and do NOT send the final invoice to the Insurance company.

If you know what you are doing, you will do well. We write all day long, and in the last 2 weeks, we got one of our clients an additional $60k above insurance scopes. All basic stuff left off. Another small contractor got $25k on two jobs he had been spinning his wheels with.

Beware of inflating estimates with "fluff"... You will get some nasty responses from the carriers.

Good luck in your venture. Always good to have skilled and qualified folks out there that legitimize a service offering.

What kind of "verifiable proof" do you have?
