I have a job that has a 2-ply modified torched direct to the concrete deck. We need to tear all of it off. The roof is only 4 feet wide and 1,300 feet long, with walls on each side approx 3 feet high; essentially a gutter for a large metal roof above it. Just wondering if anyone has tips on what to use. I have a garlock roof warrior but since the roof is so narrow that will be hard to use and I'm thinking the wheels will just spin anyway. I'm thinking of some large air chisel or something.
If you tear it off early in the morning it should peel off easily.
No! It's like a lot of the tools I have I don't use often. When I need them they pay for themselves several times over. My son will say "Why are you saving that?", hence you have the answer. I have charcoal solding pots, kickers, hand seamers, Light trolly hoist, stuff we very seldom use, or would be legal today. Ladderstands,so many I can't remember them all. Maybe I'm a hoarder?

Tin Man, I didn't even know there was a cutter so small..., I'm wondering if the 3hp motor would bog down? Do you want to sell it? Where are you located? Do you have a pic of it you can post?
I happen to have an old Airol Roof cutter about 14" wide x 14'high. It about 100lbs. Great for these kind of jobs. It's a single blade, 3 hp engine.
Chances are that it will peel off the concrete pretty well. I'd probably cut it into 12" strips, and peel what I could, the use 6" scraper blades on broom handles (steel handles are better) to spud the areas that are stuck.
There is a 'push-plow' wedge shaped tool for this. Garlock sells it. Cuts about 14" swath.
