Cold Applied SBS doesn't work good in cold weather, does it.

I tried putting down some cold applied SBS roll when it was cold out and the seams don't stick together well. Is there any kind of roll roofing good for cold weather when APP w/ torch can't be used?>>>

correction, we use the Tremco brand products...cap sheet, base, liquid powerply. They also have a cold adhesive mastic that has a consistancy of paste where out local dist. brands (Henry's, APOC, etc) have the consistancy of frost>>>

Talking about the seams/overlaps....cap over cap, difficult to adhere using the cold liquid adhesive. Used special cold mastic (much thicker than the standard mastic you buy at the dist. joimts)at all cap over cap side and head laps....used rollers to co>>>

I remember once upon a time doing a 20-25 square residential as winter was setting in. We had a heat belt wraped around the cans of adhesive. i was sceptical about the idea but we never had a call back.>>>

Yeah, the adhesive for that stuff is really flamable so you can't have any fire anywhere near it. If the rolls are in where it is warm, and have been for at least 24 hours so they are really warm, you might get away with what Egg said. It has to be 40>>>

We just did one on Wednesday, very small though. Got everything ready, cut, prepped, and when the sun arrived and we hit ambient temp (and rising), we knocked it out forthwith. As soon as you're in the shade again, you're done. We have one guy managin>>>
