Pike County is bout 200 miles South; Im in Winnebago County. Some deer have tested positive for CWD and the IDNR wants the population lowerd. During the off season the IDNR and State Police use sharpshooters in forest preseves to eradicate the herds. During regular deer season; its optional to have your deer checked, and most do. During this season all deer checked in will be tested. The late season is only open in the few northern counties that deer have tested positive. You dont want a deer in Pike county testing positive for CWD cause the DNR will be all over it. Southern Wisconsin also has this problem.>>>

I think its $165; but this is a special CWD (chronic wasteing disiese)season. Doe only; unless you have a leftover buck tag. I have a buck tag; bad thing is by Wednsday the weatherman says -10 below zero for low / single digits for highs lasting thru the weekend. Ill be hanging out in the warm spot.>>>

Here in Northern Illinois; all of December was record amounts of snow; sub-below temps and it even rained a couple days. My Dad always said "the rain is our freind". I realized what he meant after going thru a drought year or two. He just said the snow was just bad for biz. Luckily next weekend we have another Deer season; after that Ill either cut wood or go ice fishing.>>>

I would take a windy, wet, rainy winter anyday over that of a freezing, icey, snowy winter. Let it rain, rain and rain just like in Noahs' day.>>>

That is all we have been doing all day. Leaks, leaks, leaks and every one is more urgent than the last. According to the homeowners, 3 houses have flooded attics, one business is going to be ruined and of course they are all new leaks! Try to explain that! Sometimes ya just get tired of being nice.>>>
