Do you get asbestos testing for shingle tearoffs?
Edit: I meant to say asphalt shingle tearoffs. Do any of them contain or can they contain asbestos? Note that around here, many houses have 3 layers of roofs before people want to tear them off. I>>>
On an asphalt shingle roof, what about if there's flashing cement used around the chimney and penetrations. I'll bet there's asbestos in some of that. Do any building jurisdictions consider that as needing to be tested and either cleared as non-asb>>>

In 25+ years here in the Florida Keys, I haven't run into a single roof with asbestos (that I know of). I see a few old house that have asbestos siding but not roofing. OTH, there aren't many shingle roofs around here. We do around 700 to 800 jobs a>>>
No. If I do A tear off that has asbestos shingles I have the customer hire dumpster co. ,this keeps the paper trail in there name. And also have them sign a release from harm waiver before I start. The land fills here will take non- friable asbestos shing>>>
