The Tile Roofing Industry Alliance (TRIA) Florida High Wind Manual Certification

The Tile Roofing Industry Alliance (TRIA) Florida High Wind Manual Certification class is for entry level and experienced roofers in Florida who want to expand their skills and understanding of the Florida High Wind Concrete & Clay Tile Installation Manual by FRSA & TRI Alliance. The class is also helpful for roof consultants, home inspectors and industry professionals who work with tile roofing.

The course includes recent code changes, tile roofing material specifications, roof preparation, installation of tile roofing, and best practices for repairing tile roofs, as described in the Florida High Wind Concrete & Clay Tile Installation Manual.

Participants earn certification after passing a 50-question, open-book test based on the manual. Certification is valid for two years and can be renewed every 2 years on-line. Those with a Florida contractors license can earn CE Credits with the state of Florida. TRI Alliance Manual.

Certified individuals will be listed by company in the TRI Alliance Contractor Search.  If a certified individual changes companies, there will be a $75 administrative fee to change their listing. Or, the certified person can renew early and reset their company information. Companies can show the TRI Alliance manual certification logo on their marketing materials, stating they have a TRI Alliance manual-certified employee on staff.
