In this episode of Roofing Road Trips®, Heidi J. Ellsworth spoke with Matthew Del Fiacco and Paul Terry of H.B. Fuller to discuss the Millennium PG-1, EF ECO2, the company’s game-changing addition to its fleet of high-performing adhesives and sealants.
The Millenium PG-1, EF ECO2 is H.B. Fuller’s new low-rise urethane foam adhesive engineered to be environmentally friendly and cost-saving for contractors.
“We’re introducing products and solutions that are custom-tailored to reduce labor on the roof,” Matthew, the strategic account manager for H.B. Fuller's commercial roofing team, stated. “Roofing projects typically have a lot of moving parts — cranes, large equipment, logistics. This product really helps to streamline operations.”
The unique packaging design of the Millenium PG-1 EF ECO 2 includes everything from hoses to applicator tips, enabling immediate rooftop use without cranes or power connections. That makes the product not only labor-efficient but also logistically simple, minimizing delays, storage headaches and unnecessary labor.
Another element top of mind for contractors and building owners is Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). “This is becoming mainstream, and I think in the next year or two, you’re going to see a mandatory EPD component,” Paul, senior product manager, shared. “So, we’re working on EPD programs for these products that will give architects and contractors another tool to help meet these regulations and programs that are coming to fruition now.”
H.B. Fuller is a company that consistently works to look to the future. “With HFOs and all the fluorinated compounds, the future of those regulations, they’re ever evolving,” Paul continued. “We're just trying to really future-proof our products and our portfolio.”
