In the fast-moving world of commercial roofing, one standout company is drawing serious attention not just for innovation, but for making sustainability and labor efficiency their top priorities.
At the Coffee Shop Soundstage during this year's International Roofing Expo (IRE), SuAnne Stevens, newly appointed vice president of commercial roofing at H.B. Fuller, introduced a second-generation adhesive product that might change the game for contractors nationwide.
The product, known as Millennium PG-1 EF ECO₂, is a two-part, equipment-free spray adhesive designed to streamline application while reducing environmental impact. SuAnne emphasized the innovation behind the product’s delivery system, explaining, “This is propelled by CO₂ — the same thing you have in a can of soda,” she said. “No harmful contaminants, safer for the world, safer for the worker.”
That kind of simplicity has a deep appeal in an industry wrestling with complex challenges, from labor shortages to new environmental regulations. SuAnne, just 30 days into her new role, stepped into the spotlight not only to tout the product’s technical advantages but also to emphasize its real-world benefits.
H.B. Fuller’s presence at the show, drew a steady stream of visitors curious about their full suite of commercial roofing and building envelope solutions, including butyl tapes and caulks for metal building construction. But it was the new spray adhesive, with its blend of contractor-friendly design and their patented ECO₂ Driven™ propellant technology, that stood out.
