Vaa - Guarantee? I'll guarantee it against defect in installation for 7 years.

C'mon Roz, that's not a very tough one.

I-90 is 8 per board. With the typical increases required at perimeter, and even more in the corners, and considering this roof is practically 100% perimeter and/or corners, in south Florida, I'm surprised they could get approval at 1 per square foot.>>>

Vaa - Not installed for it's R value. It was installed to correct the drainage problems (a code requirement).>>>

Rozziroofer - After calculating the field, perimeter and end zones pressures, 16 plates per board was the only way to get the tapered system to handle 150 mph winds.>>>

HOP, Is that spec ? (16 plates per 4x4) That would make me think its overkill. Atleast its a wooden deck (I see the plywod i think)>>>

Jed - Pictures are not required but we must get it inspected before we cover it up or it would have to be torn off and done again. Yes it's Florida.

The home owner is an engineer.

The fasteners placement could have been much neater but there are so few full 4x4 pieces it was hardly worth the effort. (16 Plates & Fasteners per 4x4 sheet)

BTW, the homeowner is 88 years old and just feel from a step ladder in his kitchen. Possibly a broken hip. Ouch!!!>>>

Looks like a complex little layout for such a small roof.>>>
