Get the most out of the MCA Summer Meeting!

Get the most out of the MCA Summer Meeting!

Check out our at-a-glance guide to the Metal Construction Association’s 2025 Summer Meeting!

You are invited to the Metal Construction Association (MCA)’s 2025 Summer Meeting. Hosted at the Hilton in Rosemont, Illinois from June 10-11, 2025. This is a must-attend event for anyone in the metal construction industry. The event, which is sponsored by our friends Roof Hugger, ATAS International and Carlisle Construction Materials, features insightful education opportunities and interesting and interactive discussions along with fun social events that are perfect for networking. We’ve collected some of the highlights below to help you plan your trip!

Kick off with the keynote

Start the meeting off by attending the keynote talk at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. This year, MCA is welcoming Chris Kuehl, managing partner, cofounder and economist at Armada Corporate Intelligence, back. Chris has a doctorate in political economics and has over 15 years of experience teaching international economics and finance. His keynote will share insights on the rapidly evolving economic environment in the country. This can help you understand trends, challenges, risks, strategies and opportunities that have emerged as a result of things like tariffs, labor shortages and supply chain struggles.

Get an exclusive look at the MCA Market Study

From 11:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, Paul Trombitas from the consulting firm and investment bank FMI will walk attendees through the 2025 MCA Market Study! Get an exclusive first look at the report and the key takeaways that have been identified. This includes topics such as metal’s performance compared to competitive materials; trends and drivers for metal; and growth and expansion forecasts.

Explore insurance with Don Griffin Senior

Round out your learning on June 10 with an afternoon session hosted by Don Griffin Senior, the department vice president and project coordinator in the Policy, Research, and International Division for the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA). This is a great opportunity to learn about the trends in property insurance, the rise of resilient materials, the revisions to claim processing and more!

Close out the first day with some networking events

Beyond the meals and coffee breaks that come with your registration (not only a great way to fuel up but also an opportunity to make connections), the MCA has planned a few fun social events for the summer meeting. The first is the reception on Tuesday, June 10. Starting at 5:30 p.m., this is an opportunity to grab a drink, relax and mingle with your industry peers.

The reception is scheduled to wrap up at 6:30 p.m., just in time for a baseball outing! This optional event takes you just a mile away from the host hotel to root for the Chicago Dogs as they play against the Winnipeg Goldeyes on Impact Field. This is a fun way to build connections with others in the metal industry, and also a great opportunity to unwind and explore some local favorites, like Chicago-style hot dogs, elote, bosco sticks, grilled brats and pizza!

To register, add this event when registering! Note, there is a $20 fee and transportation is not included.

Keep up the momentum on day two

While the schedule for Wednesday, June 11 is shorter, it is still full of great opportunities. One such highlight is the sustainability education talk from Alan Scott at 8:15 a.m. Alan is the vice chair of the USGBC Resilience Working Group, the vice chair of the AIA Resilience and Disaster Response (RADR) Committee, and a member of the USGBC LEED Environmental Quality Technical Advisory Group. He also presented at last year’s summer meeting! This year, he will talk about developments related to sustainability in the industry, like the development of LEED v5, which is the first update to the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification system in over a decade.
