Three locations and counting

Three locations and counting
May 23, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.

By Emma Peterson.

From expansions to new products and installation seminars, ATAS is growing with the metal market.

ATAS International is well known in the metal industry for their expansive portfolio. The 60+ year old company manufactures everything from metal walls to roof systems, accessories and more! While we were at the 2025 International Roofing Expo, Megan Ellsworth got the chance to check out the ATAS booth and chat with their sales support manager, Lee Ann  Slattery.

The duo talked a bit about ATAS’ past, including being family owned for three generations now, and then shifted into looking at ATAS' future. Lee Ann  shared that one of their manufacturing facilities in Allentown, Pennsylvania started an expansion project in 2024 that will see the 65,000 square foot building gain 53,000 more square feet. That project should be completed by June 2025.  Also, two of their locations, in Arizona and Illinois, have been getting updates as well. Lee Ann explained, “We have installed new equipment in three of our four facilities!”

This expansion and the new equipment will help ATAS keep up with the rising demand for metal in construction. Lee Ann elaborated, “We manufacture everything from metal roofing, metal wall cladding, soffits, and perimeter edge metal — you name it we probably make it for the building envelope. And on top of that, we're seeing a lot more metal coming inside of the buildings too, so we have metal ceilings and metal wall panels for the interiors.”

In addition to increasing their portfolio and offerings to meet this demand, ATAS has developed installation seminars to help contractors keep up too. These seminars are hosted at each of their locations (Pennsylvania, Arizona and Illinois) and are free to contractors. Lee Ann explained, “Contractors just pay their transportation expenses and then they get a day and a half to learn hands-on how to install panels, whether it's metal roofing or metal walls.”
