Are you confident your roof penetration flashing is durable for the long-haul? Does your crew know how to get inside and outside corner details to lay smooth every time?
CertainTeed® has been providing exceptional building products and services to roofing contractors for more than 100 years. The popular manufacturer recently launched an educational roofing video series titled “Joe Knows,” which further exemplifies its dedication to providing valuable and usable content to contractors.
This new video series was created to educate contractors on the installation and, perhaps lesser-known tips and tricks to low-slope commercial roofing application. “The support network for CertainTeed Contractors is deeply committed to listening to and responding to the needs of its customers, who have responded positively to this creative initiative,” said CertainTeed’s Joe Thompson, veteran low slope roofing technical expert and host of the Joe Knows video series. “This new video series is one of many elements designed to provide contractors with the knowledge they need to properly install our roofing products and systems.”
The Joe Knows series launched on the CertainTeed website on February 1, 2021. Thompson is a key member of the CertainTeed Commercial Roofing Technical Services team and serves as lead instructor for the Flintlastic® SA commercial roofing installer training courses that are held throughout the United States. “As a manufacturer, we’re in the unique position of learning from hundreds of roofing contractors that participate in our training courses - they are not always a one-way educational event. We’re pleased to have incorporated the best techniques from around the country in these videos,” said Thompson. He is also a member in good standing of the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC).
Recognizing that a contractor’s time is precious, the video series is delivered in an easy-to-digest format detailing expert tips and tricks for swift and effective installation.
New episodes will be available on a bi-weekly basis through May 2021, and will include the following topics:
February 1: Flashing a Pipe
