NorthGate® Asphalt Shingle Now Includes ClimateFlex® Technology

CertainTeed NorthGate Asphalt Shingle
July 13, 2021 at 3:00 p.m.

By CertainTeed.

ClimateFlex® offers enhanced strength, protection and ease of installation to the beauty of the Northgate shingle.

NorthGate ClimateFlex shingles offer the aesthetic of wood shake roofing but use a polymer-modified asphalt. This roofing solution provides a high-quality roof that is, on a molecular level, designed for greater pliability for all-weather protection and hail resistance. Compared to standard asphalt shingles, NorthGate ClimateFlex shingles offer better surface granule adhesion. Plus, the rubberized aspects of ClimateFlex technology make it easier to install and handle in low temperatures that would otherwise make the shingle stiff and brittle.

NorthGate ClimateFlex also includes QuadraBond™, StreakFighter® and NailTrak® technologies, which provide enhanced bond strength and algae resistance, along with rapid nailing speeds. Popular with both contractors and homeowners, the SBS-modified asphalt shingle offers Class 4 impact resistance, unmatched weatherability and enhanced granule adhesion.

Homeowners will appreciate the wide selection of Max Def colors while valuing the peace-of-mind that comes with one of the industry’s strongest warranties. Contractors will welcome the ability to install the product even in the coldest temperatures.

CertainTeed NorthGate Climate Flex available in multiple regions and states including the Northwest, North Central, East Central, Mid Atlantic, New England, New York/New Jersey and Capital.
