The makeup of DeckShield™ 

As previously mentioned, DeckShield™ is a dual-ply, skid-resistant waterproofing deck and exterior surfaces system. It starts as embossed and printed vinyl sheet, which is then laminated onto a non-woven polyester fleece backing. The PVC is a calendared film construction and meets the physical performance values of ASTM D4434, Type II. 

Design of DeckShield™ 

DeckShield™ is designed to work for a variety of exterior surfaces including but not limited to: 

• Walkways  

• Patios  

• Decks  

• Balconies  

• Stairways 

• Around swimming pools and hot tubs  

• Locker rooms  

DeckShield™ is designed to be walkable and can also fully adhere to prepared plywood and concrete surfaces.  

Maintenace for DeckShield™ 

DeckShield™ is easy to keep clean. Simply use soap and water to maintain the membranes professional look and finish. When cleaned properly and often, a DeckShield™ membrane will continue to perform and look great for years. 

Installation procedure  

The installation process for IB DeckShield™ is simple and uses either an Automatic Hot Air Welding Machine or a Hot Air Hand Welder. Either machine can be used to create a clean, durable seam for your new DeckShield™.

DeckShield™ designer colors are available in four colors and textures including: 

• Cobblestone 

• Pebblestone 

• Cedar Grove 

• Silver Maple  

DeckShield™ warranty 

DeckShield™ offers a 10-year limited warranty against all manufacturer defects.
