ATAS International LIVE from IIBEC 2024!

ATAS Live at IIBEC 2024

Unpacking the latest in metal walls and roof panels with ATAS International.

Live from the IIBEC show in Phoenix, Arizona, Heidi J. Ellsworth from RoofersCoffeeShop® visited the ATAS International booth for a conversation with Bob Clair, the company's director of perimeter edge metals.

Bob shared his enthusiasm and insights into ATAS’s offerings, their storied history, commitment to quality and their overall impact on the construction industry. "ATAS has been in business for 61 years. It's a family business, and the third generation is now actively involved. We're really well-known for our metal wall panels and metal roof panels, both standing seam and shingle type products. We are showing those at the show here, obviously," Bob explained.

Diving deeper into the company's products, Bob outlined the newest developments and how they serve the industry's needs. "These are not brand-new products for us, but we're really well-known for our wall panels and roof panels and not as well known for our insulated metal panels, so we're featuring those at the show. We offer insulated wall panels, known as IMPs, in a variety of thicknesses, colors and profiles. We also have a fire-rated IMP wall panel, and an IMP roof panel," Bob said. He further discussed the benefits of their insulated metal panels, particularly in terms of energy efficiency and architectural appeal. "A lot of times, these panels can go on as a finished product. But we've found a lot of people are buying this product as a barrier backup system for our other metal wall panels. They may enclose their whole building, such as a big warehouse, with an insulated metal panel, but want the front to be a little bit more architectural," Bob elaborated.

Looking towards the future, Bob’s outlook is positive. He reflected "I'm hearing good things. I think there's a lot of construction going on currently, but design-stage projects on the boards, as they say, are pretty good. I think it will be a good year and for the next couple of years.”
