style=' '  loading='lazy' />

Company releases 2026 Atlantic hurricane season preparedness briefing, urging full readiness despite below-average forecasts from NOAA, Colorado State University, and AccuWeather.

Eagleview, an industry leader in geospatial intelligence (GeoAI) delivering AI-powered property intelligence solutions, today released a 2026 Atlantic hurricane season preparedness briefing with a direct message for emergency managers: a below average season does not equal low risk. Despite projections from NOAA, Colorado State University (CSU), and AccuWeather pointing to a below-average season, the company warns that seasonal storm counts are a poor proxy for understanding community-level risk and that every landfalling hurricane demands full preparedness regardless of the forecast.

The case is grounded in history. The 1992 Atlantic hurricane season produced just six named storms, well below the 30-year average of 14.4, yet generated Hurricane Andrew, a Category 5 storm that destroyed more than 63,000 homes in South Florida and caused $27.3 billion in damage (equivalent to approximately $67 billion in 2026 dollars). Andrew remains among the most destructive natural disasters in American history, and its season ranks among the quietest on record.

“It only takes one storm to create a catastrophe. The agencies that respond most effectively after a hurricane are those that prepared before the first advisory was ever issued,” shared Robert Locke, president of Eagleview’s Government business unit.

Fast Facts: 2026 Hurricane Season at a Glance

The following data points are drawn from publicly available forecasts and historical records.

2026 forecast (NOAA, May 2026) - 8-14 named storms, 3-6 hurricanes, 1-3 major hurricanes

2026 forecast (CSU, July 2026) - 9 named storms, 4 hurricanes, 1 major hurricane

30-year average (1991-2020) - 14.4 named storms, 7.2 hurricanes, 3.2 major hurricanes

1992 season storm count - 6 named storms, well below average

Hurricane Andrew (1992) - Category 5; 63,000+ homes destroyed; $27.3B in damage (~$67B in 2026 dollars)

El Niño effect on hurricanes - Historically produces ~40% fewer Atlantic hurricanes than La Niña years

Pre-event baseline coverage - Eagleview’s 96% of U.S. population coverage helps agencies access pre-storm high-resolution imagery of impacted areas for comparison and documentation

Post-event capture - Eagleview’s high-resolution aerial imagery is rapidly captured and delivered to clients once airspace safely opens

Why below-average forecasts still demand full readiness

Three compounding factors ensure that any landfalling hurricane in 2026 will be more consequential than a comparable storm a generation ago:

Rapid intensification: Research published in Nature Communications and the Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society documents a significant increase in rapid intensification events, defined as a gain of 35+ mph in sustained winds within 24 hours, since the 1980s. A tropical storm at 8 AM can be a major hurricane the following morning, compressing warning timelines for coastal communities.

Rising sea levels: Mean sea level along U.S. Gulf and Atlantic coasts has risen measurably over recent decades, per NOAA tide gauge data. Storm surge now rides atop a higher baseline, meaning a Category 2 hurricane in 2026 can produce surge impacts equivalent to a Category 3 in 1990.

Coastal population growth: U.S. coastal county populations have grown substantially since 1970 (NOAA). More people, more structures, and more critical infrastructure are now concentrated in hurricane-vulnerable zones than at any point in history.

Pre-event preparation as an operational necessity

Eagleview maintains the most comprehensive library of high-resolution aerial imagery in the United States and Canada, covering 96% of the U.S. population with multi-angle oblique and orthogonal captures. This imagery provides the pre-event baseline emergency managers need to conduct rapid, defensible change detection after a storm.

The company’s dedicated Weather Team monitors tropical development throughout hurricane season and coordinates with Eagleview’s Disaster Response Team to pre-position aerial capture assets ahead of anticipated impact zones enabling post-event imagery delivery to clients typically within days of landfall.

Post-event AI-powered damage classification enables side-by-side pre- and post-storm imagery comparison at scale, supporting Preliminary Damage Assessment (PDA) workflows, FEMA Public Assistance documentation, and resource allocation decisions at a speed ground teams alone cannot achieve.

Availability

The full white paper, “Below Average Does Not Equal Low Risk: A 2026 Atlantic Hurricane Season Preparedness Briefing for Emergency Management Professionals,” is available for download here.
Learn what aerial roof measurements are and why they should matter to you and your team.

Traditionally, contractors have to spend hours measuring roofs by hand, depending on how complex of a roof it is. This is not only a time-consuming task, but also a high-risk one in terms of safety. Today, there is another option – aerial roof measurements from Eagleview!

Eagleview’s aerial roof measurement technology takes high-resolution imagery of a roof and then uses 3D modeling to calculate highly accurate (verified at 98%+ accuracy) roof dimensions without your crew having to leave the ground. The team at Eagleview went into a bit more detail in a recent article:

Each measurement is generated from imagery captured by specialized aircraft or drones equipped with advanced cameras. That data is processed through 3D modeling and AI-powered detection systems that identify every roof facet, ridge and slope with pinpoint accuracy.

Once that data is processed, Eagleview’s platform (Eagleview One) packages the measurements into an easy-to-read report. This report is usually ready within hours, giving you near real-time access to your data, and includes:

Component labels: Eagleview’s AI program is able to catalog different aspects of the roof and label them. This includes penetrations, edge metal lengths, flashing locations and drip edges.

Perimeter data: Additionally, the report will break down the total perimeter length for each roof section and the structure on a whole, as to make accurate material ordering easier than ever.

3D modeling: Last but not least, the Eagleview software will render a digital roof that is accurate within inches to the real roof. This makes it easier for your team and your client to visualize the project.

Overall, Eagleview aerial roof measurements help companies become more efficient and safer. This is something the team at Manitoba Assessment experienced firsthand, “By reviewing over 18,000 properties annually using aerial imagery, Manitoba Assessment generated about $1.3 million in annual tax revenue at a cost of roughly $140,000 per year, resulting in a 900%+ return on investment.”

            title='Why seeing it in action matters: Making smarter decisions with a demo'
            class=''
            style=' '  loading='lazy' />

By Heidi J. Ellsworth.

Turning technology promises into confident business decisions.

There’s no shortage of technology promising to help contractors work faster while reducing costs and improving accuracy. But when a new solution comes to your attention, it raises an important question: how do you really know if it will deliver on those promises?

That is where a demo becomes more than a simple sales step. It gives contractors a practical way to move from interest to understanding, helping them determine whether a platform truly fits the way their business operates.

Eagleview One™ is a strong example of why that firsthand look matters. The platform brings accurate 2D and 3D property measurements together so contractors can quote with greater speed while limiting site visits and avoiding costly surprises throughout the project lifecycle. Those benefits may sound compelling on paper, but contractors rarely make decisions based on features alone. They need to see how those capabilities translate into real-world performance.

A demo helps bridge that gap. Instead of imagining how faster quoting might work, contractors can watch measurement data move into an estimate and see how quickly that information can become a proposal. Rather than hoping the platform will reduce re-measurements or change orders, they can observe how it handles project details and adjustments in real time. That kind of visibility turns broad claims into tangible outcomes.

That same visibility also brings clarity to the adoption process. Solutions like Eagleview One are designed to support multiple scopes of work, including roofing and siding measurements within a single platform. While that consolidation is appealing, contractors still need to understand how the technology will fit into their current workflow. A demo shows how the platform is used, how intuitive it feels and how well it connects with existing processes, which often determines whether adoption will feel smooth or disruptive.

From there, the conversation naturally moves to cost and return on investment. Subscription-based pricing and volume discounts can help lower measurement costs, but pricing alone does not always tell the full story. During a demo, contractors can better understand where savings may come from as fewer site visits lead to less material waste and fewer change orders. Seeing those efficiencies in context helps decision-makers evaluate value with more confidence.

That value becomes even more important in a competitive market. Contractors who use technology to streamline workflows and improve estimating accuracy are often better positioned to win work and serve customers well. A reliable measurement platform can support faster quoting and more efficient operations, but a demo gives contractors the opportunity to validate that advantage before making a commitment.

Ultimately, scheduling a demo reduces uncertainty in a way that no email or brochure can. Whether contractors are evaluating Eagleview or another roofing technology solution, they need to know what they are looking at before getting in too deep. A live demonstration allows decision-makers to test assumptions, ask meaningful questions and see how a solution performs in practice. That experience leads to stronger, more informed decisions.

If you are evaluating technologies that promise to improve efficiency and profitability, do not rely on descriptions alone. Take the time to see the platform in action. A demo is your opportunity to validate value, align the solution with your workflow and make decisions that create stronger results for your business and your customers.

By SRS Distribution.

Do the math once. Never do it again. That’s the power behind Custom Measurements in Roof Hub.

Every contractor calculates differently. Some build waste into their measurements while others layer it on top. Some markets require ice and water on valleys only while others include valleys and eaves. And for many teams, those rules live in spreadsheets, notebooks or tribal knowledge in someone’s head.

At SRS Distribution, we recognized that manual math takes valuable time away from the pro. Custom Measurements was built to solve that. It allows contractors to embed their own rules directly into ordering templates, so calculations run automatically across every estimate and order. Instead of rebuilding formulas on every job, your business logic applies consistently in the background.

Bring your measurements in and let the system work

Custom Measurements works seamlessly with the measurements you already rely on. In Roof Hub, you can pull measurement reports directly from partners like Eagleview, HOVER and GAF QuickMeasure or enter your own measurements manually. Once measurements are in place, your custom rules automatically calculate quantities across the template with no extra steps.

The result is a streamlined workflow that starts with trusted data and ends with accurate estimates and orders.

Build once. Scale everywhere.

Estimating should not mean repeating the same math. With Custom Measurements, you define your calculation rules once and apply them everywhere. Whether based on total roof area, hips, valleys or other job-specific factors, calculations run automatically within your templates.

This drives consistency across teams, improves speed and reduces costly mistakes.

Your workflow. Your standards. Built in.

No two contractors run their business the same way. Custom Measurements gives you the flexibility to build templates around how you calculate, price and execute jobs. By embedding your standards directly into Roof Hub Estimator templates, every estimate stays aligned with your process while scaling accuracy across your operation. The result? Less math, fewer mistakes and faster execution.

            class=''
            style=' '  loading='lazy' />

By Reworked.ai.

Most contractors fight over the same 1% of homeowners already searching for a roofer. Reworked.ai was built for everyone else.

At the 2026 International Roofing Expo, Karen Edwards of RoofersCoffeeShop® sat down with Fred Castonguay, co-founder of Reworked.ai, to talk about a problem most contractors don’t realize they have: they’re marketing to the wrong homeowners.

The problem with “spray and pray” marketing

Roofing contractors spend between 5 and 10% of their revenue on marketing and outreach — a significant line item in any P&L. Most of that spend chases the same small pool of homeowners who are actively searching online: the 1% who already know they need a roof and are collecting bids. That market is expensive, competitive and shrinking in margin.

“Roofers spend between five to 10% of their revenue on marketing and customer outreach. That’s a big number,” Fred said. “If you’re able to be smarter about it — 20% to 30% less — all of that falls to your bottom line.”

Reworked.ai was built to go after the 99% — homeowners whose roofs need replacement before those homeowners know it themselves. The company’s scoring system, Betty, identifies these properties by combining Eagleview aerial imagery with proprietary homeowner propensity data, surfacing what Fred calls “the best zip codes, the best homeowners and the worst roofs.”

How Betty works

The technology at the core of Reworked.ai is computer vision trained on millions of roof data points. Powered by Eagleview — whose aircraft-mounted, high-resolution cameras capture detailed aerial imagery across the country — Betty can detect roof condition indicators including discoloration, pooling water and material degradation without a single contractor setting foot on a ladder.

“It can see the roof better than you and me. It doesn’t wake up tired; it doesn’t have a bad day. It’s going to be on point, every single time.”

— Fred Castonguay, co-founder, Reworked.ai

But roof condition alone isn’t enough. Betty layers in homeowner demographics — financial profile, length of ownership, likelihood to act — so contractors aren’t just targeting homes that need work. They’re targeting homeowners who are both ready and able to move forward. The result is a ranked list of opportunities at $1.79 per opportunity, priced transparently and consistently regardless of market size.

“We can help roofing contractors make better decisions based on the condition of the roof and the profile of the owner of the home,” Fred explained. Rather than responding to demand, contractors can shape it — arriving at the door before the competition, before the homeowner has even started searching.

Built on real propensity data

Reworked.ai’s roots are in data science applied to real estate investing — scoring properties on seller propensity before expanding that same intelligence to the roofing market. The collaboration with Eagleview adds a physical layer to that model: actual roof condition as observed from above, matched to owner behavior signals on the ground.

The combination means contractors can prioritize their outreach around homeowners most likely to say yes — not the loudest homeowners online, but the right ones in the right neighborhoods at the right time.

What contractors are saying

“As a founder of the company, it makes me happy that we can bring a product to the marketplace that helps people,” Fred shared. “We’re not trying to take advantage of people. We’re trying to help them make their business more efficient.”

Feedback from contractors across the country has validated that approach — with users reporting more productive conversations, higher-quality outreach and a meaningful reduction in wasted marketing spend.

            title='Reworked.ai's Roofing Direct Mail just stopped going in the trash'
            class=''
            style=' '  loading='lazy' />

Reworked.ai launches Direct Mail Sequence: aerially-targeted, two touch roof-specific mail at $2.71 a home, with response rates of 3–5+%.

Reworked.ai today launched Direct Mail Sequence, a fully integrated direct mail product that sends personalized physical mail only to homeowners whose roofs have been independently flagged as needing attention. Where conventional roofing direct mail is sprayed across ZIP codes at sub-1% response rates, Direct Mail Sequence ships exclusively to homes scored by aerial imagery and references each homeowner's specific property in the copy. Reworked.ai customers are seeing 3–5+% response rates and close rates 3.2x higher than digital ads.

The problem

Roofing direct mail is broken in three ways. Lists come from generic data brokers that have never seen the roof. Creative is templated and impersonal, such as "Your neighbors replaced their roof, have you?" so it gets thrown away. And contractors run mail through standalone vendors disconnected from any signal of intent. The result: contractors spend $0.65–$1.20 per piece, get a ~1% response and quietly move the budget back to PPC, where homeowners are already being chased by five to ten competitors.

The solution

Direct Mail Sequence couples Betty, Reworked's roof-scoring engine, powered by Eagleview's high resolution aerial imagery of U.S. residential properties, with a campaign engine that ships two sequenced touches: a customized professional letter on Day 1, followed by a customized branded postcard seven days later. Both pieces include the homeowner's name, address, imagery of their roof as well as the details of the roofing company. Contractors pick a region, select an amount of opportunities, launch the campaign and the system handles printing, postage, sequencing and delivery.

"Direct mail in roofing has been broken for thirty years because nobody bothered to know what the roof looked like before they printed the letter. We have high resolution aerial imagery of homes in America. There's no excuse for sending generic mail using Every Door Direct Mail when we can send specific mail to the right roof." — Fred Castonguay, Co-founder, Reworked.ai

"The hard part isn't printing a letter, it's knowing which letter to print, for which homeowner, on which day. Betty scores millions of roofs, matches each address to property-specific creative and runs the sequence automatically. That kind of personalization at scale didn't exist in this industry until now." Shyam Prabhakar, Co-founder, Reworked.ai

How it works

A contractor logs into Reworked.ai, picks a region and Betty surfaces the qualified opportunities. They select a pack, toggle on Launch Campaign (Direct Mail) at $2.71 per home, upload their logo, company details and confirm. Letters ship within 1–2 business days; postcards follow seven days later. Both pieces are personalized for each homeowner. No design work, no list cleaning, no separate vendor account.

At $4.50 all-in per home (opportunity + mailer), a 500-home campaign costs about $2,250. At a 4% response rate, that's 20 inbound conversations at $113 each with a one on one conversation.

Early results

A regional Southeast roofing contractor mailed 1,000 Reworked-targeted letters and booked 24 qualified inspections in three weeks. Their last 10,000-piece generic postcard campaign? About 30 calls — most unqualified, few converted.

The math: 1/10th the mail and 8x the response rate.

Availability

Direct Mail Sequence is available today to all Reworked.ai customers in the United States, inside the Find Opportunities flow at Reworked.ai. No subscriptions and use as much or as little as you need, you control your business sales funnel.
