Veteran roofer brings passion and precision to service strategy

With nearly 25 years in construction, a seasoned pro is helping roofing contractors streamline their service departments, one strategic step at a time. 

In this episode of Roofing Road Trips®, veteran commercial roofing pro Ellisha Loftus shares how her decades of experience have shaped a strategic, people-first approach to growing service departments in the roofing industry. “I've been in the commercial roofing space for almost 16 years and commercial construction for 25,” Ellisha says. Now just two months into her new role at Service First Solutions, she’s already bringing that deep background to bear for clients across the country. 

Her mission? Help roofing contractors build efficient, scalable service departments, without burning out. “It’s looking for those opportunities to work smarter, not harder,” she explains. “Just making some small changes that give you back your time.” Ellisha’s approach is rooted in hands-on experience. At North American Roofing in 2011, she played a central role in launching the company’s first customized Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and standard operating procedures. That ground-level exposure helped her understand what really drives service success. 

“I was basically the liaison between the departments and the IT department,” she recalls. “It was a great opportunity to take a peek under the hood and see how everything worked.” Eventually, she led the company’s national service division, managing more than 50 teams coast to coast. Now at Service First Solutions, she works with companies of all sizes, from “a small company with one truck just looking to create the infrastructure to grow” to more established operations. 

What sets Ellisha apart is her alignment with Service First Solutions’ culture and being able to meet people where they’re at because of her extensive experience in the industry. “Whenever we say, 'We've been where you're at,’ we can say it and really mean it. Collectively, we have been there,” she says of her and her new team. “It's cool to be surrounded by other professionals that are just as passionate and rock the same culture and have the same objectives. It just feels really good.”
