Training that meets you where you’re at

Tremco’s mobile training program not only comes to your office – it's specially designed to meet your team’s exact needs!  

One of the things that Tremco Construction Products Group (CPG) prides themselves in is their comprehensive solutions. They provide products and systems that work with the entire building envelope over its entire lifespan. To learn more about this and the training that Tremco offers their contractors working with their comprehensive solutions, Karen Edwards sat down with Joseph Studer for an episode of Roofing Road Trips®. 

Joseph, the technical training manager at Tremco, explained the role that training has in creating a strong, secure and comprehensive building envelope, sharing, “We never want to send a contractor out on a 100,000 square foot PUMA job if it's the first time they've ever seen or used PUMA. At Tremco, we have a big incentive to have well-trained contractors and distributors in the field as that’s what leads to long-term building success. So we provide those services.” 

Tremco’s training programs are comprehensive and adaptable. Not only do they cover a variety of topics, including but not limited to walls, roofs and traffic decks, but they are designed to meet contractors where they are – literally! Joseph explained, “We have two mobile trucks and trailers that are fully equipped. If a contractor, distributor, architect, specifier – any type of end user of any of our Tremco CPG products – requests a training, we can work with them to bring the training to their site.”  

And that on-site training is customized. Tremco's team will get on a call with the team they are visiting beforehand to find out what they specifically need training in. Joseph shared a bit about this process, saying, “We schedule a conference call to go over what products they want to train on, what their audience is going to be and how many people in their audience. Then we look at whether we’re training indoors or outdoors. Depending on where they’re located and what season it is, we need to think about weather conditions. We also want to know the size of the shop we’re coming to as this changes what we bring to the site. For example, if a contractor has any medium sized shop, we can bring in our wall panels built with OSB plywood or concrete board, and we can set those up vertically and horizontally to work with your team on.”  

The end result is a comprehensive, interactive training that will help your team excel when installing Tremco products in the field.
