During the 2024 International Roofing Expo, Karen Edwards from RoofersCoffeeShop® spoke with Tom Christner of Rocket Equipment about their latest innovation, the Trash Rocket. 

According to Tom, "The Trash Rocket is a mobile trash chute that's telescoping; it's on a trailer and extends up to 50 feet. It's designed for a very clean and much easier tear-off.” This product is transforming waste management on construction sites. 

The versatility of the Trash Rocket is evident. Tom explains, "For example, the multifamily down in Florida is very popular... there's so many three-story and four-story buildings with concrete tile. This is durable enough for concrete tile and keeps the projects clean while people can still live in the communities during the tear-off." Tom further elaborated on the unique benefits of the Trash Rocket, highlighting its safety, quietness due to its all-electric nature and the ease of setup which enhances operational safety and convenience on job sites. "It's safer, it's quieter... you set it up and then you just take the key out, and it's just sitting there," Tom states. 

The Trash Rocket serves as a powerful marketing tool for contractors due to its accessibility, with rental partnerships growing across the country and a straightforward purchasing process via their website. "We have rental partners around the country... folks that rent them are so proud that they're using it that they often post about it on their social media," Tom adds.
