Attic Breeze - Solar smarts: Texas-assembled* attic fans catching a nationwide tailwind

Solar-powered attic fans are gaining traction as a smart, energy-efficient upgrade for homes across the country.

As energy costs rise and demand for sustainable home improvements grows, solar-powered attic fans are gaining attention as a smart way to reduce heat buildup and improve overall efficiency. Cardinal Ventilation by Attic Breeze®, offers a practical and value-driven solution designed with the needs of American homeowners in mind.

Cardinal is the mid-tier solar-powered ventilation line produced in the same Texas facility as Attic Breeze, the company’s premium brand. While positioned at a more accessible price point, Cardinal fans deliver high standards of performance, reliability and ease of installation. The product line is manufactured in the USA using only the highest quality domestic and foreign parts - a commitment that reflects the company’s focus on quality and consistency.

Available in 20-watt and 30-watt solar panel configurations, Cardinal models feature brushless DC motors, corrosion-resistant aluminum fan housings and a streamlined, low-profile design. The fans include a 12” aluminum blade, optimized for airflow performance in a wide range of roofing applications. While not recommended for tile roofs, they are a great fit for most other residential roofing systems.

Cardinal products are also engineered for durability in harsh environments, including coastal and saltwater regions. With no plastic parts and a fully aluminum construction, the fans resist corrosion and continue performing reliably even under challenging weather conditions.

The CV-XLXP and CV-XLXP PRO products are engineered for easy installation and are UL-listed for safety and quality. Each model includes an adjustable solar panel mounting bracket, a built-in thermal switch for automated temperature control and pre-mounted flashing designed for long-lasting roof integration. Most installations can be completed in under an hour with minimal tools or complexity.

“There are many factors to consider when selecting an attic fan,” Cardinal Ventilation notes, but at the end of the day, their goal is simple: make homes more comfortable and energy efficient.

In addition to meeting industry standards for safety and efficiency, Cardinal Ventilation fans are Florida Building Code (FBC) HVHZ approved, making them suitable for installation in high-velocity hurricane zones. The official FBC product approval number is FL 31962.

Buyers may also benefit from a 30% federal tax credit for solar products, adding a layer of economic incentive that’s hard to ignore. Installation is designed to be DIY-friendly, often completed in under an hour.

By combining smart design, trusted manufacturing and a reputation for performance, Cardinal Ventilation by Attic Breeze® is helping homeowners nationwide take control of their energy use - one attic at a time.
