Contractors gain access to new ladder safety equipment, roofing repair materials and cutting tools designed to improve jobsite efficiency and protection.

Manufacturers across the roofing industry continue introducing products aimed at improving jobsite safety, repair performance and efficiency in demanding working conditions. Recent product announcements from Wryker Construction Supply highlighted new solutions for ladder stabilization, all-weather roof repair and cutting tools designed specifically for roofing applications.

The Guardian Fall Protection’s Safe-T Ladder Extension System focuses on improving ladder safety during roof access. Designed to create a more secure transition from a ladder to an elevated surface, the system attaches without drilling, bolting or tools while adding two offset handrails to support safer movement onto the roof. According to product information, the system complies with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard 1926.1053(b), which requires ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet above a landing surface.

The system also includes cushioned bumper pads intended to protect roof eaves while securing tightly to the ladder. A built-in safety latch helps prevent slipping during use, while integrated handgrips provide additional stability for workers climbing onto rooftops.

At the same time, United Asphalt introduced Roof-Master 220 All Weather Flashing Cement, a heavy-duty flashing cement formulated for damp and wet roofing conditions. The product is designed for roof repairs, leak sealing and maintenance work where weather conditions can complicate installation and repair efforts. Product materials emphasize its versatility and performance in difficult environmental conditions commonly faced by roofing contractors.

Tool manufacturers are also targeting efficiency improvements on the jobsite. Everhard Products recently promoted the SuperNonStick Shear, a 10-inch bent shear engineered for roofing applications involving adhesive-backed materials such as peel-and-stick products. The shears feature an Industrial Release Coating intended to reduce adhesive buildup and cleanup while maintaining cutting performance under demanding conditions. According to product details, the through-hardened carbon steel blades are designed for durability and long, straight cuts on roofing materials.
