Whether you're a long time roofing pro or an amateur in the field, taking the opportunity for training is a smart investment in your career longevity. The Roofing Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to elevating the roofing profession, has teamed up with Clemson University in South Carolina to deliver flexible, self-paced courses designed to advance individuals, teams and the industry as a whole.
The Roofing Alliance-Clemson Training Program is a three-course program under Clemson University's Nieri Department of Construction, Development and Planning desgined to help companies train, retain and grow their workforce while maintaining exceptional quality and managing costs. Courses take about eight hours to complete with up to 60 days to do so, allowing partipants to fit the program into their schedules.
The three courses are as follows:
Anyone interested in learning the essentials of roofing or refining the best practices of running a roofing busienss — students, experienced professionals and anyone in between — is encouraged to enroll. These courses are also an excellent tool for onboarding, professional development and cross-training employees.
Upon completion of each course and passing the final exam with a score of 75% or better, participants will earn the Roofing Professional Management Certificate of Completion issued jointly by Clemson University and the Roofing Alliance, recognizing comprehensive knowledge across the roofing profession and a commitment to ongoing education.
