Quality Roofing & Sheet Metal is the July R-Club Roofer of Month

Quality Roofing & Sheet Metal is a family-owned and operated business that is now in its third generation and is currently celebrating their 50th year of family ownership. They primarily work in the commercial market with a few high-end residential projects, specializing in EPDM, TPO, standing seam metal roofing and below-grade waterproofing. Additionally, they offer a full-service sheet metal shop where they fabricate all types of metal flashings used throughout the building envelope process. 

We spoke with Austin Barnhardt about how Quality Roofing has successfully reached 50 years of family ownership.  

“First and foremost, we're celebrating the fact that we have employees. At this point, everyone in our valley is having a really hard time finding the workforce, and we've been lucky that we've had a core group stay with us for eight to ten years,” says Austin. “And we're also excited about all the new faces we're getting. From all the genders that have been applying, it's been typically a male-dominated workforce, and we're getting females coming into it, and that's been a great addition to it.” 

The key to Quality Roofing & Sheet Metal’s employee retention is treating them like family, celebrating their employee's families and encouraging a healthy work-life balance. “The fact that we're able to get people in here that are dedicated and work hard, it's just been a real blessing for us,” says Austin. 

This gratitude extends to their customers, Quality Roofing strives to operate from a space of honesty and integrity. “From the bid process to inspections, we're upfront with our customers. Want them to know what exactly they can expect when choosing to go with our company, and are upfront with them on what it's going to cost,” says Austin. “If the project doesn't fit our timeline, or the expertise that we strive in, then we're going to tell them that and then help them to find another trusted roofer within our community that might specialize more in that than what we do and get them set up for that.”  

At the end of the day, it is all about celebrating the people and relationships that make up this business, which is why Quality Roofing and Sheet Metal is our R-Club Roofer of the Month!
